Stuck On You Review and Giveaway 1/16 (closed)

Growing up my mother took a sharpie marker and wrote my name on everything I owned that was going to leave the safety of our home. If it couldn't be written on the item then the masking tape came out...All of our bake ware and Tupperware had our last name taped conveniently on the bottom so it wouldn't get mixed up at potlucks or family reunions.

Now that I have kids going off to school I have spent tedious moments handwriting all of the letters of my children's names on crayons, pencils, backpacks, and other school supplies. Honestly I haven't figured out if it really is worth all the trouble.

StuckOnYou.biz sent me Designer Collection Name Dots to give a whirl...When ordering the name dots, I wasn't sure what I wanted exactly, but I knew I wanted them to have multiple purposes (which meant I wanted to use them for multiple family members). We left the top name area blank and just used our last name. We also went with a gender neutral smiley face. It works great for us because I always want my kids to be thinking happy, positive thoughts.

I figured these name dots would be perfect for sippy cups at my daughter's playgroup and the Tupperware my husband was taking to work...Little did I know that in a rush to get my older kids to school they would come in handy.

It finally snowed here in December and the kids were begging me to take their snow pants to school. I kept telling them no because I figured they would be too bulky and get lost easily. Every boy has black snow pants and all the girls have pink. I finally caved, but when I thought about writing their names on them two things popped into my head. If their names are on them, I can't sell them...and how do you get a name to show up on black. As I looked over I saw the StuckOnYou Name Dots. Quickly I peeled them off and slapped them in without another thought (I already knew they were waterproof).


Right before Christmas break my son's teacher sent me an email thanking me for putting The U's name in his snow pants. Earlier that day someone else had taken his snow pants for 2 different recesses. He kept telling the teacher that his were missing (he can get very emotional) and he couldn't go out to play. Finally after lunch the other student noticed the bright green dot with The U's name and returned them. The teacher loved the sticker idea and has recommended them to the other parents.

Never thought my kids would be trendsetters with name labels! These name dots have not worn off anything I have put them on. Next year I know exactly how much time I will be saving when Back to School shopping is involved.
