Planting Good Seeds
What are your latest healthy food discoveries?
Oddly enough a lot of my healthy food thoughts revolve around chia seeds. That is why I am super excited about this weeks sponsor, The Chia CO.
The Chia Co produce with environmental guidelines followed rigorously and farming practices applied with long-term sustainability in mind. The Chia Co products are all made from 100% natural Australian Grown Chia seed. Chia products are mild tasting and easy to include in the every day diet as they can be added to any meal. Chia is the richest plant based source of Omega 3, dietary fiber, protein and antioxidants. We refer to Chia as Nature’s Complete Superfood because it is very high in nutrition that is essential for a healthy diet including Omega 3, dietary fiber and protein as well as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It contains: 37% Dietary Fiber, 20% Omega 3 ALA, 20% Protein.

Great post! I have never tried Chia seeds but it definitely sounds interesting! I am looking forward to Mamavation Monday!
Thanks Amber! Chia is certainly worth the buy
Good reminder about the healthy food link-up on Friday. I forgot about that last week. It’s been great watching your progress.
Thanks Jenn! I forget too.
I’ve never tried chia seeds….are they gritty?
I find them similar to flax our sesame seed, when wet they remind me of cooked grain sort of.
I have been wanting to try out Chia for a bit now, if I don’t win some I may try to push myself to buy some this week.
April, I find on chia days I snack less.
I will have to start reading more about the chia seeds. mamavation tv will be intresting then but in a good way. Have a great week!
Thank Marie for stopping by
I’m finding Chia to be awesome.
I am going to have to try Chia maybe I’ll win this week and can try it. They sound yummy and packed full of goodness. Then you can give me all your yummy recipes
Meggers they are great thrown on or in
I’m not even sure they have flavor, lol.
I am sceptical of chia seeds, but with your recommendation, I will give them a shot…someday. Thank you for all of the support this week <3
Tisha, try them as a typing or mixed in granola. You’ll never know they are there. I feel fuller on days I add them in.
I have never tried, but boy does that chocolate chia pudding look delicious.
Great part about them Kelly is you can any flavor.
I have heard about them and want to try, but I can’t find them locally. I have to figure out the best price and then give them a shot. I love the bread recipes using chia seeds. So, you can sprout them, too? I have a new love affair for doing my own sprouts. I have done Mung Beans and alfalfa. Oh, yum! …and cheap.
Have a fabulous week!
Andrea, I’m not sure they can be sprouted, but I’m interested.
I’ve never tried them before, but I’m always up to a new food adventure. I’m like you though, there are some “healthy foods” I would rather never see again lol
I tried some store bought cookies once, yuck! I’d rather make my own healthy stuff.
Yeah, your chia pudding doesn’t appeal to me, but you you enjoy it – Miss talking to you
XO
Lena I’m here if you need me
I like vanilla/almond flavor best.
Isn’t it funny how some things taste and how they are supposed to be good for us… I am trying hard to win a chia prize would love to start incorporating it into our meals.!!!
I love the Chia for the hydration factor and the full filling during the day, Anjanette. Hope you get a chance to try them out. I think they help with my nursing too, but that’s just my opinion.
I’m so bummed I couldn’t join the show today, I am really interested in the topic of misleading food labels. Ah well, life goes on!
I’m also very interested in these chia seeds that I’ve seen you talk about before. I’m sure my local Whole Foods has them, so I’m planning to pick some up this week.
Have a great week, and thanks for all the support!
Don’t worry Krista, Jasmine will be on again. She mainly touched on artificial flavors and preservatives containing msg.
I am super excited about your gluten-free posts! I’ve never heard of chia seeds until Mamavation. I wouldn’t even know where to buy them.
I can find them in the healthy section of my grocery store, but we just ordered them on Amazon because our store was cleaned out. I’ll let you know when the gluten free posts go live.
