Cooking is one of my passions. My husband and I enjoy being in the kitchen together preparing meals for our guests when we entertain. My husband loves his smoker. He can often be found out in his winter gear smoking ribs or brisket while I am inside whipping up sides or dessert. We recently received a Country Crock Holiday Veggie kit to help with our holiday preparations.
I was asked what my favorite holiday dish is and I have to admit I’m not sure I really have a favorite must have dish. I will be sharing later this week and next a few of the new recipes I plan to add from Chef Staci like Cauliflower Gratin and Wild Rice Timbales. I have to admit that my favorite item in the kit is the Vidalia chop wizard. I have never been a fan of onions, but they keep turning out in everything I cook lately including the meatballs that I just made tonight as part of my paleo once a month freezer friendly cook-a-thon.

My mom always makes del monico potatoes (not sure if that’s the right spelling?) – potatoes with lots of cream and cheese! They are so delicious.
