Quest Nutrition Peanut Butter Cups Review

This year I made up my mind that this would be the year that I finally stay on track. I even told my husband that I would not eat candy until I hit my goal. That is a pretty unrealistic for a sugar addict, however, I have made exceptions. Cut open quest nutrition peanut butter cupsOur family received a box of Quest Cravings High Protien Peanut Butter Cups from Quest Nutrition. I have to admit to loving the taste of a yummy peanut butter cup, but hating the greasiness of the filling in name brand treats. It has honestly kept me away from this sort of treat for quite some time. These Quest Cravings High Protein Peanut Butter Cups aren’t anything like the cups that call your name in the checkout line at the supermarket.

I will admit that if you are expecting a sugary sweet treat that this is not it. It is sweet without the sweetness. The chocolate is dark and alluring. Not too sweet, but not too bitter either. The filling is a robust peanut butter flavor that is on the sandier side of things. We received our package just a few days after I had completed a cleanse. I wasn’t craving candy in a way I normally would, but I was excited to dig right in and so were the kids. These cups are noticeably bigger than the regular ones you are probably used to. They are also set in a plastic cup rather than paper that flip little chocolate pieces all over you to melt into your clothes and furniture. I found that one cup was plenty for me in one sitting. That means I can have an extra treat later.

They sure beat the alternative choices we would be reaching for. I know there are a few flavors in bars I would love to have in my pantry as rewards for doing my workouts. We sampled the Quest Nutrition Peanut Butter Cups throughout the month of December and I am happy to report that I did not gain any weight over the holiday. This makes me excited about the changes in the way I think and see food. I don’t need the junky stuff I was eating before. Plus my kids really like them and they aren’t going overboard which is a huge plus.

  1. YUM!!!!! I am a sucker for those particular candies so this looks amazing.

And this: “than paper that flip little chocolate pieces all over you to melt into your clothes and furniture” is so true I LOL! :)

  2. These are a great option if you want something a little sweet.

  3. It’s funny because I don’t particularly like peanut butter, but this kind of candy I do!

  4. I was a little taken back by these, not what expected but not really disappointed. They do curb your sugar cravings…and remind me a bit like freeze dried ice cream…minus the crunch. If you don’t go into this treat thinking it’s like a traditional peanut butter cup, you will be fine. The savings of carbs and added protein makes me happy with it.
